Commissioner Gregoire's priorities include growing our regional economy, expanding international trade and tourism, and protecting our shared natural environment. These priorities reflect Courtney's long-standing commitment to helping communities generate broadly shared prosperity through improved education, quality employment and increased trade opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses. Before returning home to Washington State, Courtney spent nearly 10 years working in Washington D.C. in senior-level positions in both the legislative and executive branches. Courtney graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Willamette University and received her law degree from Harvard Law School. Originally from Olympia, Washington, Courtney currently lives in Seattle with her husband Scott Lindsay and their two children. As a family, they enjoy taking in our state's natural beauty by hiking in the North Cascades and boating throughout Puget Sound. |
