Description
Join us for our monthly luncheon with Seattle Council President Sally Clark, and have the opportunity to hear her share her vision for the city. She has had the honor to serve on the Seattle City Council since January 2006. Before joining the Council, she worked in non-profit social services and government with the aims of helping people: “Become their own best advocates, and to connect with government in ways that would improve their lives and their communities.”
At Seattle City Council she chairs the Committee on Economic Resiliency and Regional Relations, serves as vice chair of the Energy and Environment Committee and is a member of the Government Performance and Finance Committee, the Labor-Management Leadership Committee and the Labor Relations Policy Committee. She also serves, on the King County Board of Health.
“Clark was elected president this past January by her colleagues, who say she combines wonkiness and wit, a deep interest in what makes cities work with a practical approach to issues and a sharp sense of humor.” "Sally at the core is a city geek. She loves city policy, city process and how to create great urban areas," said Clark's friend and mentor, former City Council member Tina Podlodowski.”(Seattle Times January 25, 2012)
Network with fellow chamber members, meet Sally, and enjoy the deli bar lunch at The Kenney.
