SUMMARY:Father's Day Grief Walk in Schmitz Preserve Park with Listening to Grief
DESCRIPTION:Join Listening to Grief on a free\, guided forest walk to honor and reflect on the fathers\, grandfathers\, step-fathers\, father figures\, and those who filled in for fathers that we are missing on Father's Day.\n\n\n\nMeet at the Hinds St. entrance to Schmitz Preserve Park.\n\n\n\nWhat is a grief walk? We will walk among the flora of the park allowing ourselves to feel and talk about grief\, while drawing comfort from the presence of others who are also grieving. During the walk we will stop a few times for poetry\, observation\, movement\, story sharing\, and quiet contemplation.\n\n\n\nAll are welcome. Keep in mind we will be talking about grief and death\, which may be sensitive topics for some. The trails are uneven and sometimes narrow\, and there are a couple steep inclines and one set of wooden stairs. The ground will likely be muddy. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes. \n\n \n\nLearn more at listeningtogrief.com/events
