SUMMARY:P Event 2013 - Free Paid Sick Leave and Safe Time Training for Employers
DESCRIPTION:Seattle employers must comply with new Paid Sick and Safe Time rules\n\n \n\nNew rules will take effect September 1\, 2012\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBeginning September 1\, 2012\, Seattle employers will be required to provide a minimum level of paid sick and safe time to their employees who work within Seattle city limits. The Seattle Office for Civil Rights is working to support businesses so they are ready to implement the new rules on September 1st.\n\n \n\nHow will these rules work?\n\nThe rules apply to all employers with more than four full-time equivalent employees. All employees are eligible for the new benefit\, including full time\, part-time and temporary workers. The hourly accrual rate depends on the employer's size. Employees will be able to carry over a limited amount of unused sick and safe time to the next calendar year. \n\n \n\nTake this free workshop to be informed about this new ordinance
