DESCRIPTION:Luncheon on WEDNESDAY in May!\n\n			Wednesday\, May 13th- Mark Your Calendar & Register Today\n\n			Open to Members and Non-Members\n		\n	\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTransportation Levy - \n\nWSCC Luncheon - A place to learn exactly what is included in the Levy and an opportunity for you to voice your opinion.\n\n\n\nOn May 13th\, Wednesday\, SDOT and Seattle City Councilmember Tom Rasmussen will take the stage.  SDOT will go through the Mayor's Proposed Transportation Levy so we can all understand what is and is not included.  Then it is your turn to voice your opinions to Councilmember Rasmussen as the City Council begins its consideration of the Mayor's proposal. \n\n\n\nThis levy would be funded by a significant property tax increase and would result in approximately $900M in transportation funding over 9 years.  Because the levy includes specific projects that the revenue generated will fund\, it is important to the WSCC and Councilmember Rassmussen that you have a means to give feedback to SDOT and Seattle City Council.  The West Seattle transportation needs must be adequately addressed in the event that the levy does pass. \n\n\n\nPlease note that this luncheon is NOT being held on the scheduled 2nd Thursday but has been moved to the Wednesday prior\, May 13th.
