Description
Homeport for the North Pacific Fishing Fleet, Fishermen's Terminal is ssurrounded by Seattle's maritime industrial core. It is responsible for 4,000 local jobs, providing family wages and contributing to our local economy. This commercial fishing generates $404 million in wages and salaries, $196 million in business revenue, and more than $37 million in state and local taxes.
Guests will board a floating classroom to learn about the fishing fleet and some of the businesses that have built their livelihioods along the Ship Canal. Program partners include Foss Maritime, Kvichak Marine, Pacific Fishermen Shipyard and PFI Marine Electric, Western Towboat.
