Description
Seventeen-year-old Jason Kertson began learning to play the guitar at age seven and began performing in coffee houses and other venues when he was nine. Those of you who attended our Record Store Day in-store with The Sonics last year might recall Jason - who is Sonics’ sax player Rob Lind’s grandson - guesting with the band on “Louie Louie.” In February, 2011, Ray William Johnson, a YouTube icon, tweeted a link of a YouTube video that was recorded when Jason was 12. Jason had 250,000 YouTube views that week, which generated a lot of interest from people in the music business. Since then Jason has recorded a session with Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine and performed with Dave’s daughter Electra; auditioned and appeared on “The Voice”; recorded & performed with Duff McKagan’s daughter’s band, The Pink Slips; and formed his own band, Kertson. Join Kertson at Easy Street Records on August 27th for the release of their new album, Lonely. The album will be on sale, and several surprise guests will join the band throughout the night. Free and All Ages!
