Celebrate the grand opening of the Southwest Seattle Historical Society’s new interactive exhibit, Beyond Alki: Stories of West Seattle and the Duwamish Peninsula, on Thursday, August 20, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Log House Museum.
Explore the peninsula’s history from sbaqʷabqs, the Lushootseed name for the prairie landscape at Alki, through generations of change as industry, neighborhoods, businesses and communities shaped the West Seattle we know today.
