The race begins and ends on the Hiawatha Track. The route takes runners by many local businesses along California Ave. The course is cheered on by spectators lined up getting ready to watch the parade.

Description
West Seattle Runner presents the Float Dodger 5K benefiting the West Seattle Helpline and Food Bank. ALL proceeds will go to this organization, so we are driven to increase revenue this year by increasing participant entries and increasing sponsorships. We are looking for any small business interested in sponsoring the race and can work with you on the scenario that maximizes benefit to your company. This is a fun run that takes place on the Hi-Yu Parade route before the parade begins. Beer garden at West Seattle Runner afterwards with prime parade viewing. Rootbeer floats served as well.
