About Us

Nonprofit supporting the Sea Services, the people who serve & their families through events and enhanced public awareness. #fleetweekseattle

The Seattle Council is a mid-sized council of approximately 300 members, located right on the waterfront in downtown Seattle. We are proud to have sixteen Business Members and thirteen Adopted Units. With records dating back to 1905, our council is one of Navy League's oldest, and we continue to grow in strength and integrity with each passing year.

The Mission of the Seattle Council is to support the Sea Services, the men and women who serve and their families through direct action and enhanced public awareness. We focus on educating citizens and elected officials about the importance of the Sea Services to our nation's defense and economic well-being (keeping our waterways safe and open for trade).

The Seattle Council is renowned for its annual schedule of prestigious dinner events featuring illustrious speakers, dynamic programs and hosting what has been described as "awesome" Seattle Fleet Week events. The Seattle Council also has an unsurpassed record of commitment for honoring hundreds of young Sailors, Marines, Coasties And Cadets for their outstanding service.

We pride ourselves on achieving the "Outstanding Council" designation twelve times from National Navy League since 2002.
